THINK ABOUT THIS - MAY 2011

DIVINE ZEAL
"Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God" (Exodus 34:14).

Only a moment we think we remember that, in regard to us, the heat can be good or bad. When a husband discovers that another man is trying to steal the affections of his wife, is justifiably jealous. But when a person is envious of the possessions of another, this kind of zeal is inexcusable.
God is jealous, but always in the right direction. He wants the love and loyalty undivided of his people, and dislike for any offense of his affections. His zeal is completely selfless, that is, it is not selfish, he knows that is not going to do well in going after false gods.
Most references to the zeal of God are related to the idolatry of Israel. The chosen people had abandoned the Lord and was worshiping idols. This was spiritual fornication. The zeal of God was going on.
Here are some of the many references there are the godly jealousy:
"I am the Lord your God, am a jealous" (Exodus 20:5).
"For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, jealous God"
(Deut. 4:24).
"stirred him to jealousy with strange gods, angered him with abominations" (Deut. 32:16).
"I got angry with their high places, and you to jealousy with their graven images " (Ps. 78:58).
"How long, O Lord? You be angry forever? will burn like fire" your zeal? " (Ps. 79:5).
"I will be jealous for My holy name" (Ezekiel 39:25).
"God is jealous and vengeful" (Nahum 1:2).
"provoke the Lord to jealousy?" (1 Cor 10:22).

This last question is as appropriate today as it was when Paul asked for the first time: "provoke the Lord to jealousy?" The world system is constantly trying to distract the church your pristine love for the Savior. The lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life are alert to seduce the believer. We may not be tempted to worship graven images, but money, power, fame, and pleasure can become idols too.
The knowledge of God's intolerance toward anyone or what could result in a loss to our exclusive devotion to Him should inspire us to be faithful:

Jealous is the Lord our God ,
with ardent zeal and loves us
The foreign god and the carved image
provoke and ignite His holy wrath.

But His love is not selfish
For His blood redeemed;
want first place in our hearts
To us looking for the best .

I WILL BE WITH YOUR MOUTH

Text: Exodus 4:10-16

Moses had long been in the desert when he received God's great mission to go to bring His people out of Egypt. After forty years of pastoral life, not expecting it, but God was in His plan. After those long years in the silence of the desert, Moses had been cured of believing able to serve God and His people. He felt his human inability and asked that the Lord sent to another, but insisted both humility and self-doubt in the end God was angry for not accepting the answers God gave him.
Many fellow believers feel their inadequacy to the ministry of the Word of God. They are cut or awkward (v. 10). How can respond to this feel? Pray and trust in the Lord (v. 11) that made our mouth (v. 12) and says: "I am with your mouth." This is a great promise that deserves our attention.
Today there are camps and retreats of evangelicals who are "workshops" people, and they seem to forget God and try to train and move people just by tricks, methods, processes, formulas and human paraphernalia. Brethren, it is God who must be with our mouth. The main thing is to cry out to God and confess our utter dependence on Him I can not believe that God so powerful that we have, we have to invent stuff, and we put people in seminars, institutes, schools, missions, etc., Things that never were men of God in Scripture. The apostles were not speakers or professional men, but fishermen and "the vulgar and unlearned" (Acts 4:13), but the Lord taught and this was enough, and while yes! How is that in recent times with both high school and "workshop" leave no missionaries or preachers of the gospel as before? Almost none exist. But there are clowns, singers, theater and puppets, and talks about sex or snuff, etc. Do not preach like Paul and like the other apostles, nor the prophets of the Old Testament. I suppose it's because they walk with God or trust in him, but in themselves and in their methods. As a result the modern church is in tatters. He has not the shadow of the power of the early church.
The reality is that we must confess our diversion and impotence, and humbly request the presence and power of God, and rely solely on Him because He is His promise: "I will be with your mouth" . Is not that enough? In the case of Moses, when, after he spoke, shook the house of Pharaoh and Egypt. They could have done with him after the first plague, but God was with him and not allow it. If God commissioned and sent to a man, God be with him. But woe to the men commissioned and sent by ordinary men! They are servants of God but servants of men and organizations.
When God called Jeremiah said he was going to suffer (Jer. 1:1-19). If you tell people today disappears. When called Ezekiel said that he was sent to a people who do not listen hard (Ezekiel 2:1-10). Who wants to serve it? Only God really called and sent, and God commands us to puppets and clowns, but with His holy Word and the mission of crying in your name.
If we do what God says and what the true men of God have, on the institutes, seminars, "workshops, camps and other similar things, because then God would work with power of God, according to the Word of God, and God would deal with the results as it has always done Sus verdaderos siervos. Hermanos, abandonemos la confianza en los métodos y las organizaciones humanas, y volvámonos humildemente al Dios que llama, guía y sostiene a Sus obreros. ¡Su presencia nos basta!

"Enjugará Dios toda lágrima de los ojos de ellos; y ya no habrá muerte, ni habrá más llanto, ni clamor, ni dolor; porque las primeras cosas pasaron" (Ap. 21:4).

This verse has given great comfort to the people of the Lord. Many Christians today go through times of pain and suffering. Physical pain is one thing, but more intense the emotional pain that breaks the heart. Thank the Lord, we can bear it, knowing that we have something that no medication can give: the safety of an eternity with the Lord where ever there will be pain.

BETWEEN HEAVEN AND HELL

Domingo Fernandez, a brother who once served the Lord in Cuba, wrote: "The outstanding singer Julio Iglesias wrote his autobiography, which he entitled:" Between Heaven and Hell ". If Julio Iglesias was an expert in securities and theological concepts to his autobiography would not find a better title than he put it: "Between heaven and hell."
"There are people who are placed in an area not their part, does not harmonize with his behavior. But Julio Iglesias has been placed where it really is: "Between heaven and hell." In fact, all human beings We are in the same area, we did not go all to the same goal. "This world is the way to the other." The difference is that one going by what Jesus Christ called the narrow road that leads to eternal life happy and others are on the broad road that leads to an eternal place of confinement to which Jesus calls hell. WE ARE BETWEEN HEAVEN AND HELL. No man comes to life in heaven or hell. Born into a middle area. Call it the FIELD OF OPPORTUNITY. When we got to be discerning between good and evil, the Creator puts forward two ways: one is directed upward and the other down. One leads or leads to destruction. The other leads or leads to the kingdom of God. Jesus Christ has done everything we need to find open doors of his kingdom on the day we reach the goal of the path we follow. Christ wants to bring his kingdom. But the devil wants to lead us to the fate that awaits him. If we obey God, cling to the benefits of the redemptive work of Christ, the evil we can not prevent entry into the kingdom of heaven ".
" But if we want to make guide for the prince of darkness, God will lead us to heaven violating our desire to follow the path that leads to hell. We are between heaven and hell and our eternal destiny depends on our will. Jesus said to the inhabitants of Jerusalem: "How often would I have gathered you as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you would not!"
Dear reader, you do not know how long he will remain in this area of \u200b\u200bopportunity, but this I can tell you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, who "Today is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2). We encourage you to seek God while He may be found (Isaiah 55:6). If you need help, we would be glad to have the opportunity.

Faith

M any people the world, and even some Christians have a misconception of faith. To some it means something that accumulated as energy and when it reaches a certain level we can do miracles. For others it is a blind faith that believes something when there really is no basis to believe it. For example, many patients are convinced they will be healed even though there is no basis for that belief. The doctor has told them not heal, and everything suggests otherwise, but they insist on saying that they have faith.
Most Christians define faith by quoting Hebrews 11:1, "is, therefore, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" . True faith does produce confidence respect to what is expected, and conviction about what is not, but these things are products of faith, not faith itself.
Faith is to believe a witness or a divine revelation. Having faith is believing God when He speaks. So the believer has a basis for their belief, the Word of God. Many believe in God, but many least believe God when He speaks. Adam, the first man took the first steps on the path of disbelief, and throughout history man has refused to believe God when He speaks.
Faith is always the answer to the divine message "Who has believed our report?" (Isaiah 53:1). "So faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God" (Rom. 10:17). "God, who at sundry times and in many ways to the fathers by the prophets, in these last days spoken unto us by his Son" (Heb. 1:1).
Those who have faith to believe God when He speaks of any topic. If you speak of creation, I believe (Heb. 11:3). If you talk about the upcoming trial, I believe (Heb. 11:7). If you talk about what eye has never seen, I believe (Heb. 11:8). Believe God when He speaks is what distinguishes the true Christian and the unbelieving world around him, and when Joshua and Caleb believed God for the promised land, and this separated them from the rest of the unbelieving nation of Israel.
Those who have faith to believe what God says about salvation, marriage, future, money creation, or order and the role of local church. This faith goes beyond what we can tell our senses. Despite what we tell our sight, our touch, our emotions, or our reasoning, faith believes God when He speaks.
The faith that believes God is always appropriate action (James 2:20). Whether repentance, building an ark, or walking around a city, when we believe what God says this will always lead us to do something, even if it be still and see His salvation (Ex. 14:13).
May the Lord increase our faith (Luke 17:5). Let us learn to believe God when He speaks on any issue and are willing to submit to His Word and obey it. Steve

Renew or Restructuring?

Many speak of renewal in God's work. Renewal is required each time. David said: "renew a right spirit within me" (Ps. 51:10). The renewal of worship as a congregation is both necessary and personal restoration. About King Asa was said " repaired (renewed) the altar of the Lord" (2 Chronicles 15:8).
few years ago bought an old table. It was covered with numerous coats of varnish and was not very attractive. But we thought that maybe there was beauty hidden beneath those old layers of varnish. So we were removing and discover the beautiful walnut furniture. We gave a good finish, and now their rich tones adorn our home - was renewed.
However, if we cut the legs of that table to make it a table for coffee, would not have been renewed, but restructured. To do this we would had to alter the original design.
Israel, during the period of the judges, met a lot of spiritual failure. The Word of God was ignored and disobeyed. But instead of acknowledging his sin and turn repentant to God, called for a change of structure. Instead of local elders and men as judges raised up by God, asked for a king, Samuel. "now appoint a king to judge us like all the nations" (1 Sam 8:5). God was not pleased. It is always easier to change the structure to judge the sin we have allowed.
Today there is concern about the lack growth and spiritual vitality in the assemblies. Some argue that a change in structure is the remedy. By experiencing the impact of women's liberation movement, some believe that churches should abandon the distinction between the roles of men and women, and Galatians 3:28 is his motto.
as is suggested that large churches have a pastor, the assemblies that want to grow should follow suit. Buy a man prepared for a seminar, give a salary, give him the pulpit, and your assembly will grow.
Please do not call to that renewal. Call it what it is. It is a restructuring of local church and away from the simplicity of New Testament pattern. The writer is convinced that New Testament churches need renovation, but no restructuring.
renewal must be personal. There is need for the daily reading of the Word of God and prayer, for a rich devotional life. Must have personal holiness, turning from sin in place of shelter in the privacy of your home or personal life. There must be a renewal of zeal in witnessing to the lost, a burning concern for those who are on the road to hell. Personal renewal, spiritual, must take priority.
God's people need a renewal of spiritual shepherds, a recognized council of elders to lead and guide the work as servants and models (1 Peter 5:2-3). We send workers pious preaching the gospel and teach the Word. Cry out to God for such people.
Our meetings need renovation. There must be time to sing with joy. The message of the hymn should determine the pace. We sing with spirit and with understanding.
Our prayer meetings need renovation. These meetings can be long if the sentences are short. Someone has rightly said: "Long prayers in private, and brief prayers in public. " Sentences should be specific, intense and precise. It is not necessary or good for a brother personally pray for all or almost all. There are others who can and should participate and share responsibility.
worship time needed renovation. The Lord's Supper must be the apex of our spiritual life each week. This is where God's people worship as a congregation and exalts her beloved Lord and Savior. No place for routine or formal rituals prayers. It is a time when the devotion and love for God in the past week is distilled to fill an hour of intense worship. Recalling the death of our Salvador for us, touched our hearts and our eyes should be wet. Also remember that we do all this to come our risen Lord. There is nothing comparable to the Lord's Supper.
Our preaching needs renovation. It is getting a lot of books of sketches, old notes or reheated instead of freshness and vigor to study and meditate on the Word. We also need to recognize those who are gifted to preach. Not all are teachers and preachers. "The prophets speak two or three" (1 Cor 14:29). But a shift system is not the idea, nor is it biblical turns men. This is equally wrong to limit the practice of all to a man. Those who speak, speak the power of the Spirit (1 Cor 2:4), and according to the Word of God (1 Peter 4:11).
Yes, brethren, need renovation - desperately. But we need not restructure the churches together under the simple model of the New Testament. Instead, we need the power of the Holy Spirit. He is the giver of life and spiritual force.
