HOW IS THE LOVE?

"Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another" (1 John 4:11).

not think that love is an emotion, something sentimental, uncontrollable and unpredictable. God commands us to love, which would not be possible if love were something avoidable, an emotion or feeling sporadically, unexpectedly appeared as a sudden cold. Love can affect emotions, but is more a matter of will than of the emotions.
Love is not confined to a world castles in the air with little relation to the essence of everyday life. For every hour of moonlight and roses, there are weeks of mop and dirty dishes.
In other words, love is intensely practical. For example, when you pass a plate of fruit, chooses love touched or bad. Love cleans the toilet and the tub after use. Love replaces the toilet paper for the next thing you need not experience discomfort. Love the lights off when not needed. Pick up the paper on the floor instead of stepping on and go long. When you provide a car, replenishing the fuel and oil. Love empty the trash without being asked. You do not expect others. Serve others before himself. Take your child to avoid disturbing loud at the meeting. Love speaks loudly to the deaf can hear. And love works have something to share with others.

love with her dress length
soil reaches the very dust,
can reach the dirt of the street and road,
And because you can, you should.

dare not rest on the mountains
is your duty to go down to the valley
Well is not satisfied until you turn
The lives go out there.

THE LORD TAKES CARE OF "EVERY DAY"

The beautiful Psalm 23, which many know by heart, is full of instruction and hope for the believer. Let's examine a bit the last verse, because it is there that we are promised God care "every day" (v. 6).
My friends, we trust the Lord all the days of our lives. People can disappoint us, but the Lord never will. We ourselves are sometimes fickle and do things by halves, but the Lord is gracious and merciful forever. James 1:17 describes God as "no shadow of turning" , that is, immutable, and non changeable. This should give us encouragement, consolation and hope. He is unchangeable in His mercy and kindness to His. So says "certainly" and "every day" . The psalmist is confident in God and know that not be abandoned.
also says "I will" . God has our back deck. We note that in verse 3 he is guided in paths of righteousness. The Lord surrounds his property behind us, come after us if we fall - as a father or a mother leaves behind a child learning to walk. The Lord corrects deficiencies and we love our help. Deuteronomy 28:2 promises to the obedient and faithful "will come to you all these blessings, and overtake thee" . God wants us good, and He leads us in paths of righteousness, because it likes and because there is a blessing. Can not bless disobedience or disloyalty. For these things have the rod and staff, to return to the place of blessing, by His side.
God our Father feels joyful and loving when we ask for good things. It is not cheap, but generous and kind. God wants us good. This is His desire and it is important to understand. It remains so even when the world mistreats us, as in the case of the Apostle John when he was exiled to Patmos with criminals and political prisoners, but look what happened. There the Lord blessed him and gave him a revelation of Jesus Christ in His glory. The goodness and mercy shall follow us all day. There will also be one day.
But if we do not follow in the paths of righteousness (v. 3), we suffer is because of our lack of diligence, or lack of dedication, or spiritual laziness or disobedience, not God's fault. He wants us goodness and mercy. Every day we entrust the true God and ask His advice and guidance, and then follow it. He is every day at our disposal. We are in the hospital, in prison, or wherever - the Lord is with us every day. Human friends can fail, the family also, but the Lord will never fail us. He is there as Pastor to help us all times. This is good, because daily need His guidance, provision and mercy. Every day of our lives, we at Good Shepherd to guide us, and ultimately dwell in Your house forever!

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no death, no will be no more mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new " (Rev. 21:4-5).

This verse has given great comfort and encouragement to the people of the Lord. Many believers now go through times of pain and suffering. The physical pain is hard to bear, but the emotional pain is more intense and heartbreaking. Thank the Lord, we persevere, knowing that we have something that is better than any drug: the certainty of eternal happiness where the pain is abolished forever! Our Lord with His great power make all things new. Amen Come, Lord Jesus!

Flee Lust

Donald Norbi

God created man male and female. Sexual desire aims at the conception of children, the spread of the human race. The animals also have this desire to reproduction. So sex is good. God did it.
But man is made in the image of God is more than an animal. God made a woman for a man and joined as one flesh (Gen. 2:24). Jesus said that is not God's desire to break this union except for death (Mt 19:6). A Christian wedding celebrates the sanctity and permanence of the union.
Paul warned Timothy: "Flee youthful lusts" (2 Tim. 2:22). One of these passions, but not only is sexual desire, which begins with puberty and reaches its maximum strength between that age and early twenties. But the intense desire remains in old age, even among those who reach eighty years of age. Therefore, the biblical admonition is appropriate at almost any age: "Flee youthful lusts" . But what does it mean?
Flee as illegitimate excite passions. As Paul wrote to young Timothy, what excites the passions of a man? The whore is well aware. She seeks to encourage the man, so she dresses provocatively. A prominent designer dresses said his inspiration came from visiting places of the city where prostitutes work.
Peter urges women to dress modestly (1 Peter 3:1-5). This means to keep their bodies covered so that men see her face and character. A woman can help men chastely think if you dress modestly. Doing so will help men and herself to flee lust.
God commands man to marry and to channel that natural sexual desire for his wife. Spouses must be faithful and dedicated to each other (see Proverbs 5:15-21). This will bring satisfaction and happiness, both for the couple and their children because parents have loyal and happy. Yes, flee from youthful lusts and live a holy life for God!

LAST WORDS
THE YOUNG EXPLORER

found him dead in a solitary hut , with a bowl between his knees, he had used as a desk. In his hand, and only skeleton, was the following letter, evidently wrote just before he died.
"The sun shines, mother, but still feel very cold. I can still walk around, but nothing more. There is no blood in me because I have not eaten in so long. Took forty days without seeing a human being. I have some magazines here, but the stories seem pointless. I have some cards, but I do not really want to play solitaire. The only thing that worries me is whether God will forgive my sins. "
Son the last words of a young explorer in Long Rapids, Alberta, Canada, before moving to the dark forever.
Who would not feel sympathy for a young, lonely and dying, afraid to face God? Someday, believe it or not, you also have to face God. Perhaps his death bed will be different than the browser. May be surrounded by every comfort that money can buy. May have care and love from all your friends, but the last step you have to give alone. When you go to eternity, will it be to take a leap into the darkness and into the light? No wonder it you'd like, but it really is, perhaps despite their preferences.
Please do not ignore this question. Answer it honestly before God. If you can not answer: "I die I'll dive to the light, the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ my Saviour", his course is wrong. Dude, your philosophy will take you to eternity, or their property or their friends. God inhabits eternity (Isaiah 57:15), and there He awaits you, she has a date unchanged. The sin is all that is against the will of God and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). He who dies without forgiveness of sins will be tried and sentenced to eternal punishment. But God wants to forgive, so He sent His Son Jesus Christ to be our Savior. Christ died on the cross, which substitute paying the wages of our sins so that we can be forgiven by trusting in Him, the Lamb of God. Christ said: "I, am come a light into the world that whoever believes in me should not abide in darkness" (John 12:46). Died to offer forgiveness and eternal life. Experienced the darkness of death so we could enjoy the light of life. Endured the trial of God that we might be justified (declared righteous) by God.
"Christ once suffered for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring God " (1 Peter 3:18). " was presented once and for all by the sacrifice of himself to remove from the midst of sin. And as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this trial, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time without sin, to save those who wait " (Hebrews 9:26-28).
No need to die without knowing God's forgiveness and eternal life. God is ready to forgive and give life, but only given to those who repent and believe - trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. If you do this now, born again, you will forgive all their sins, and a new life. When I die will jump to light, with great happiness.

LOVE IS THERE
IN THE OLD TESTAMENT?

Some say no, and that they do not like the Old Testament. But those who speak and show their ignorance, and as the saying goes, ignorance is very bold. Those who read and study the Old Testament, which makes up almost two thirds of the Bible, we know that there is much love there, both good and bad. Really what is known and taught about biblical love is rooted in the Old Testament, not New, but in the New we see the greatest manifestation of God's love in the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ (Jn. 3: 16). Here are just a sample of texts about love in the first part of the Bible.

Genesis

In Genesis 18:24-32 Abraham interceded for Sodom, appealing to God's love to the righteous. 26:24 In God appeared to Isaac and promised to bless "for the sake of my servant Abraham" . The faithful love of God is the basis of the covenants with Abraham and his descendants.

Exodus

Moses in Exodus 18:8 Jethro his father was telling the deeds of God to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, "by love of Israel " . The liberation from slavery in Egypt was a sign of divine love for Israel. Then in Exodus 20:6 the Lord says: "showing mercy unto thousands of them that love Me and keep My commandments" . Always the right motive of obedience and fidelity to God is love, and the rebels and disobedient are among those who hate him (v. 5). (See Jn. 14:15). In Exodus 21:5 the Hebrew slave goes free because no states: "I love my master, my wife and my children. Do not go out free ". Critics say that the Old Testament does not speak of love would do well to examine their hearts to see if they love God so much as the Hebrew slave loved his master. Today want to use love as an excuse to go free and make everyone what you think. That is love itself, nothing more.

Leviticus Leviticus 19:18 commands: "love your neighbor as yourself" . Some mistakenly reason that this is a commandment to love ourselves, but this is adding to the Word, that it does not say. What it says is to love our neighbor (Matt. 19:19; Rom. 13:9). This love should be seen in the facts. (See 1 Jn. 3:16-18). In the same chapter of Leviticus, verse 34 says: "As one born abroad ye shall dwell among you, and love him as thyself ". Instead of taking advantage of them by foreigners and left eye, the people of God must love them. Numbers

Balaam Love goes bad in Chapters 22-24, 2 Peter 2:15 explains, "... the way of Balaam son of Beer, who loved the wages of unrighteousness ". One of the perversions of love is the love of money, and not a matter only of the Old Testament (1 Tim. 6:10; 2 Tim. 3:2 "greedy" is literally "lovers of money"). You see this kind of love a lot in modern society, even among some professed believers. William MacDonald said in 1 Corinthians 5:11 the miser listed with the fornicators, idolaters, drunkards, but almost no church discipline on the immoral and greedy, and so on. Instead, make them leaders in the church!

Deuteronomy means "second law", because in the plains of Moab, at the end of forty years in the wilderness, Moses reviewed the history of the nation and the commandments of God with of the new generation before they entered the promised land. Many associate it only with the commandments of God, and his emphasis on obedience deduce that is a legal book in which there is no love. This is a big mistake and typical among many evangelicals who sadly ignore the value of the Old Testament and its teaching. Deuteronomy is the book of the Pentateuch which appears more love. We can not show here all the texts, but a sample. God declares His love of parents to Israel in Deuteronomy 4:37. In 5:10 the Lord says: "showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments" . In the 6:5 says "Love the Lord your God with all thy heart and with all your soul and with all your strength" . Equally important is that Christ is quoted in Matthew 22:37. In Deuteronomy 7:7-8 Moses declares that God loved and chose Israel to be more than other peoples, "but because the Lord loved you" , ie a character motivated by love of God, not by them . In the next verse says: "Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy to those who love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations" , linking love again obedience. And in verse 10 promises to punish those who do not love him but hate him, hate him. They are the only two choices: love or hate. In the 7:13 promises to love and bless those who keep His commandments. This special love is a mutual love (cf. Jn. 14:21, 23). Deuteronomy 10:19
love again sent abroad. In 11:1 and 22 again relates love with obedience. At 11:13 they are called to love and serve the Lord "with all your soul" . 13:3 In the test the false prophet is allowed to see if the people really love the Lord or not. Deuteronomy 30:20 says, " loving the Lord your God, obeying his voice, and cleaving to Him, for He is thy life" . There is love in God, and He wants to see that love in His people. The we chose you to be chosen by us. In 33:3 we read: "still loved his people" .
Thus we see that the topic of love comes highlighted and emphasized by repetition in the Pentateuch. The love of God is the cause and the effect he seeks the love of his people. Christ said that the whole law is summed up in two commandments: love God and love neighbor. But today we have the same problem that was then. The man does not love God with all and especially not love your neighbor as yourself. By nature every one loves himself, and indeed is what modern society teaches and esteem: self-love (2 Ti. 3:2). Do not succumb to the mentality of the last times, but we love our God, our brothers, and both lost souls who need the gospel.
Carlos Thomas Knott
