MINIMIZING THE HOLINESS OF GOD

Whenever minimize the holiness of God we are in danger of minimizing the sinfulness human, and the combination of these two errors results in the shrinkage of the cross of Christ. If we preach the gospel, we have a holy God who hates sin and has done something about it that has cost him a lot. "Because God is holy, since it is also love, is provided atonement," wrote the theologian Carl FH Henry.
The holiness of God means the complete "separation" of all that is sinful. He is different from what is common, he is separated from what is impure. But God's holiness is not something static, like a block of pure ice. His holiness is active and alive, as "a sea of \u200b\u200bglass mingled with fire" (Rev. 15:2). Everything about God is holy, his wisdom, his power, his judgments and his love. If your love was not a holy love, He would never have sent his only Son to die for the sins of the world and satisfy the just demands of its own nature and His holy law.
may be wrong, but I have the feeling that many Christians today have lost the solemn and extraordinary sense of the holiness of God. Why?
First, do not emphasize the holiness of God in our churches. Like the fire in a youth camp, our worship of "worship" are lively and joyful, they are devoid of emphasis on the divine holiness. Our preaching is centered on people, and with it comes to "scratch people where it itches", instead of to the holy God, who deserves their worship and obedience. Those who have their eyes on the greatness and holiness of God does not care where it itches.
The lack of discipline in churches and high standards of conduct among Christians shows that we do not take holiness seriously. In our class, we try to "sell" church to the world to convey the unbiblical idea that Christianity is "fun" and that every pagan should join the club and start enjoying life. I once heard a pastor say in the period ad: "Try to come to the evening service. We will go very well." I think James' words written for believers mundane: "Lament and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom" (James 4:9).
imanigarme I can not Moses and the elders as those who passed it on Mount Sinai to watch them the glory of God, or report that was Isaiah "divertiéndose" en el templo cuando él vio "al Señor...alto y sublime" (Is. 6:1).

When Christian women wear a veil to cover her head right, is a simple, divinely ordained to visibly express their inner attitude of submission to divine order or government leadership. God, our head, establishes the male as head of the wife (1 Cor 11:3). Thus, women covered and silent (1 Cor 14:34-38, 1 Tim. 2:11-12) express their submission to male leadership and leadership in the assembly. So the assembly shows the angelic hosts, so corporate, its subordination to Christ its Head (1 Cor 11:10, Eph. 3:10). They observe the order and proceed, not the heart. It is obvious the contradiction of some women who profess to be believers, when they appear in the congregation wearing a veil but wearing men's clothing (trousers), or in some cases, veiled but dressed in an indecent and provocative. Another is when women who profess to be Christians do not cover their heads, when they should know better because they have been taught, and in some cases they do when their husbands minister the Word.

TIPS FOR YOUNG
"Rejoice, young man, in thy youth, and let your heart in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of thine eyes: but know that for all these things God will judge you " (Ecclesiastes 11:9).
"Remember your Creator in the days of thy youth" (Ecclesiastes 12:1).

Solomon encourages young people to remember God and to rejoice in Him But at the same time gives a solemn warning about the day of trial, when accountable to God. We advance in years and the problems are also moving, and often harden their hearts. Sin has consequences and permanent. With permanent consequences, you can not undo any amount of repentance, reform and restoration. Ask for advice and prayer that God has placed to nurture and guide you, and be wise in your decisions and commitments in life.

INTERCEDE IS TO HELP
"I beseech you, brethren, for Lord Jesus Christ and the love of the Spirit, to help me pray to God for me " (Rom. 15:30).
Paul was an apostle but by the grace of God needed the prayers of the brothers. Had their help. I humbly ask your prayers: "I beseech you, brethren." This really can be ordered. Intercession in prayer is an important activity of the church and individual believers. He who can not come to pray with the brothers, I doubt that you pray for them at home. Many do not give importance to prayer, perhaps because they see no immediate benefit for themselves in it. But Paul knew how important it was and how much he needed. He believed that those who prayed for him to help him. How we help our brothers in prayer? Only God knows, but clearly not intercede is to deny assistance we could give.
In Luke 22:32 the Lord said to Peter, "I I prayed for you ". This speaks of the ministry of intercession. It is important to pray for our own affairs, but we must also pray for others. How good day lead the prayers and intercession!

STAINING OF
HUMAN HISTORY

The book of human history is full of terrible spots. Is a record of continuing failure from beginning to end. Among the delights of Eden, the man heard the tempter's lie (Gen 3), when God preserved him in his love of the trial, and took him to a restored land, was guilty of the sin of intemperance (Genesis 9); when it was led by the outstretched arm of the Lord in the land of Canaan, "forsook the Lord and worshiped Baal and Ashtoreth" (Judges 2:13), when he was elevated to the pinnacle of human glory and power , with countless riches at her feet, and all the world's resources at his disposal, extranjeos gave his heart to uncircumcised (1 Kings 11). As soon as the blessings of the gospel were enacted, it was necessary that the Holy Spirit warned about "wolves" , "apostasy" , and all kinds of failures ... What we confirmed that the man perverts all .

/ / Why look among the living dead?
He lives, He lives! He is not here. / /
is not here, not here, but has risen.
Why look among the living dead?
He lives! He lives! He is not here!
"And I, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which you received, in which also you stand, by which also, if you hold fast the word which I preached to, are saved, if you believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of which also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures ...
But if Christ is preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no resurrection of the dead, Christ is not risen. And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching is vain and your faith. And we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom do not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead rise not not Christ raised: And if Christ be not risen, your faith is futile; are still in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are the most miserable of all men. But now is Christ risen from the dead, the firstfruits of them that slept. "

WE WORSHIPERS

by William MacDonald

That is the reason for our existence, we were made to worship God. Worshipers the Father seeks to worship him in spirit and in truth. This means that worship is not to meet certain rituals and recite prayers and prepared in advance. It is something that is rather in the spirit, that is, inspired by the Spirit and empowered by the Spirit. It should be also true, ie it must be something sincere and heart.
Worship is directed to the Lord and submit to the praise of His person and His work. Is to attribute dignity ("You are worthy") for who he is and what he has done. You can include prayers of thanksgiving. Is an expression of love of the Triune God. In true worship, the self is absent, except when we express the wonder that He cares.
The supreme act of worship in the New Testament is the presentation of our bodies to the Lord as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to Him (Rom. 12:1-2). The body here is the spirit, soul and body (all that we as a people).
Preaching is not worship. can inspire worship in the hearts of the listeners, but to preach or give a call is directed to a human audience, the congregation is worshiping the Lord. Dar
testimony is not worship, although it may encourage us to do so. You have things to men. Diririrse worship is God directly.
In the Bible, worship is directed to the Father and the Son, but for some reason not given to us, never goes to the Holy Spirit.
Critics of the Bible may think it is selfish by wanting God to be worshiped. They do not understand. It is for our good, nes God's. Sejemantes We take that which we worship.
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are changed from glory to glory in the same picture as the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Co . 3:18).

How Can We Encourage Worship?
Psalms provide much material for worship. The attributes of God are a favorite subject, and Lord's care over the history and prophecy. The contemplating the gift of God in His Son, as illustrated by the sacrifice of Isaac by Abraham, lifts our hearts in praise. The Savior's life and work are an inexhaustible source for worship: his incarnation, perfect life here, his atoning sacrifice, resurrection, ascension and present ministry of the right hand of God, his coming and the blessings we have been shed by Him
David and the other writers of the Psalms were worshipers. They had great thoughts about God. The wonders of creation led them to write beautiful songs. When considering his greatness, goodness and grace, their minds were struggling to cover everything. They believed in Him as the sustainer and controller, and were confused.
The writing of the last Psalm was so overwhelmed that he invited the whole creation, animate and inanimate, to lift praises to the Lord. Everyone, big and small, old and young, kings and princes, yes, all the angels, along with the beasts, birds and creatures that crawl, should form a universal chorus. In enlisting the support of all instruments (harps, trumpets, horns, timpani, cymbals, and organs). Its theme is so amazing that calls the sun, moon and stars to join the hymn. The heavens and the earth, the sea, hills, mountains and all the water should not remain silent. The fire, hail, snow and blustery winds have their share. The theme Queta breath so that the Lord is worthy of worship more sublime.
However, these psalmist did not have a Bible. They did not know how the Son of God would descend to Earth and be born in a barn, with its cradle a manger in which the animals ate. They did not know that the wise would be their God "restricted the time and imcomprensiblemente made man." Neither knew at the barn would be one who "created the stars of heaven." It was hidden from their eyes the truth that the baby at the stables would be "the Eternal Word, who by the power of his speech made the worlds emerge from nothing, that this small little arms were helpless baby hands of Him who established the foundations of the universe. "
They did not know that the Architect and Creator of the universe one day would wear the robes of a carpenter in a place called Nazareth.
Or that he "would walk like a stranger in the world that his hands had formed." It would have choked to think that God had no place to lay your head, or sometimes sleep under the stars while his followers were going home.
Did not realize that God really does come to earth and heal the sick, give sight to them CIELGA, restore the paralytic, would throw out Domoni and raise the dead? Or that despite all its goodness, would be insulted, ridiculed and driven out of town?
would have been incredible to them that He, the Judge of all, be betrayed by one of his men, arrested and brought to trial. Civil authorities find him innocent, but would still be flogged until his back looked like a plowed field and I could not recognize him as a man.
The psalmist did not know in great detail what we know today. In a place called Calvary, men nailed their God in a wooden cross.
was something unimaginable for these poets of the Old Testament. Cagezas have shaken their thinking that the brightness of the glory of God, the image of his person, the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, would be in a cross purging the sins of men (Heb. 1:1-3). Weak creatures would take the One who is sublime and exalted in glory and would place a post on embarrassing. The heaven of heavens can not contain, and yet it was held by the nails. The Immortal was dying. Imagine the harmony
heavenly choir of the Psalmist, consisting of a multitude of the redeemed, would have risen if they had the words of Charles Wesley:

"Amazing love! How can
Thee, my God, shouldst die for me?"

O Isaac Watts's hymn that says:
"prohibits Lord rejoicing,
Except in the death of Christ my God."

They saw through a glass darkly. At times they had a glimpse of what would happen, but were not allowed to have full disclosure. The bottom line is this: if they, with the limited knowledge they had, could raise such torrents of praise, worship and gratitude to the Lord, how much more should we who know of the Calvary and the One who died there to be exalted?
Once you assimilate the truth of what our God has done for us, the sacrifice he made to save us, we will be spontaneous worshipers. No one will have to persuade or flatter to praise the Lord. Our languages \u200b\u200bare a writer's pen light. Our lives are an endless psalm of praise to Him in the words of Charles Wesley again: "disband our hearts in gratitude and our eyes melted into tears." We "lost in wonder, love and praise" and "immersed in the mysterious depths of love." As the Psalmist, we call upon all creation will join us to sing the praises of Him who called us from darkness to His marvelous light.
For me, there's nothing more I become a worshiper of the fact that he died for me on the cross of Calvary is my Creator and Sustainer of the universe. In preparation for the Lord's Supper, I like spending time with the Bible and the hymnal on Saturday night. Many of the old hymns express the wonders of Calvary better than what I could do, and provide much material for worship.
evangelism and service, therefore, become a consequence of worship.

AMEN!

"... say the Amen" (1 Corinthians 14:16).

Amen is a word extremely vital to the heart expressing approval so that says. Many congregations could use it more often in their meetings.
The word is found 68 times in the Bible. It is clear from 1 Corinthians 14:15-16, which was used in the meetings of the early church. So we can be sure that the use of the Amen is eminently scriptural.
Not only that, but it is an imperative. The sublime nature of the truths we deal with requires a keen intelligent expression recognition. Ingratitude seem to hear such truths and never show it audibly.
For one who preaches is always prompted his audience say "Amen" at the points of the message that touch sensitive areas for the congregation. This indicates that people are following the message and share your spiritual and emotional exuberance.
is good one to say the Amen. It keeps you involved as an attentive listener and keeps you from becoming apathetic when to wonder.
is also good for those coming from outside the church, they see that Christians are enthusiasts, who enjoy their faith and really believe in what they believe. The use of life and expresses Amen fervor. Their absence speaks of monotony and death.
The Amen is one of the three words of the Bible that are virtually universal. In most languages \u200b\u200bthese words are the same, so you can go almost anywhere and say "Maranatha! Hallelujah! Amen, "and people will understand that you say" The Lord is coming! Praise the Lord! So be it! "
Of course, the word" Amen "should be used with discernment. It would be inappropriate to use it to express excitement at the misfortune, tragedy or sadness.
is a shame that some Christian groups no longer use the Amen because it has abused it in meetings given the extreme emotionalism. Like all good things, we can use it or we can spend. But anyway, we should not deprive us of this biblical practice just because some people use it without understanding. "Amen?

COMMUNION WITH THE ETERNAL

This psalm begins with a beautiful statement: " Lord, thou hast been our refuge from generation to generation" . When I read such words in the Psalms, saying: "My God, who can speak how are you people?" It is clear the answer. Them only because they were inspired by God. If God guides and teaches us, we can express things like that - not for inspiration obviously - but I mean I talk to know the Lord and in biblical language that pleases the Lord. This is the psalm of the brevity and fragility of human beings, because of sin. The man born as grass and soon disappears. Is rapidly aging and no longer has the ideas or the strength as before.
Moses was about eighty years to write this psalm, and had seen the death of many Israelites in the desert for forty years of punishment. I was impressed by the forty years of carnage for which he had been Israel. He died a generation of unbelievers, sometimes dramatically, sometimes simply because of illness or old age, but all that generation disappeared except Caleb and Joshua. But God was still there and He would be the refuge for the next generation. I wanted to be their God. Is it always is. Therefore it is important to make our short life to walk in communion with Him according to His will, for to do otherwise is to waste life.
The Lord is the best friend we have. It is the eternal refuge of His people, that is, those who trust in Him because only they are His people. He is with us always, and we must be close to Him, cultivating and caring for intimate communion. The Christian life must be lived daily, not "Sunday" as many. The Apostle Paul declared: "on it we live and move " (Acts 17:28). God is inescapable, because it is ubiquitous as Psalm 139 reminds us. He does not want to visit you on Sunday morning, but we walk in fellowship with Him is God who can handle it our way, and should be so our daily lives.
When the Lord led the children of Israel in the wilderness, there appeared to them only once, but constantly through the cloud and the pillar of fire. Exodus 13:21 says: "The Lord went before them ... to guide ". Is what we always want to do. "He took not away " (v. 22). They separated them but not him, because he is not cheating or variable like us. So in Psalm 90:1 we see the proof of the eternal God, faithful and unchanging. We see the contrast between God and His ancient people, and still the thing today because the so-called God's people today do not seem better, but equal to or worse as more sinned against light.
In Psalm 27:4 David declares his desire to be in the presence of God every day of your life. What is the application for us? Although we have no temple like David, we should be in the presence of God every day, reading His Word, meditating and praying. And when you meet God's people must be there between them, because there is the Lord as promised. But God wants to see us every day, and hear our voices every day. The Lord remains faithful. In Psalm 27:10 we see that parents may disappear, perhaps by death, but God remains and pick us up if we trust Him He is faithful. Learn to be faithful as He

"Glued to the TV ,
Or The Bible?

"Television is so woven into the family life of American parents can not imagine living without it and are willing to overlook the potential risks for their children, according to a report released recently.
Researchers know that the time spent watching TV is very large: 83% of children 6 years and under watch TV an average of two hours, and 43% of them have a TV in his room. Now we know why. The parents see TV as a babysitter, how to maintain their busy schedules to keep the peace and facilitate routines such as meals and bedtime. Only secondary meaning parents see TV as something educational, but it's enough to make them feel "less guilty and more grateful," said Vicky Rideout, vice president of the Kaiser Family Foundation, the group that conducted the study. "

(from the newspaper "Santa Barbara News-Press, May 25, 2006).
The impotent spiritual, and worldliness of many who profess to be Christians, even leaders, is due in part to his addiction to TV. They wake up in the morning and immediately turned on the TV. She speaks and influences all day. Woe to those who spend more time with her than with the Bible, which are up to date with the news but back to the Lord. Be brave, turn off the TV and stick to the Bible! There is blessing in it.

Pastors OR SHOP?

"Be diligent to know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds" (Proverbs 27:23).
There is an application in verse 23 for the elders of the assembly, as shepherds of the flock of God. They must do diligent pastoral work, watching, listening, visiting and sharing with the saints to know their spiritual condition. It would be difficult to do this simply greeting them before or after a meeting. Grazing requires much more than act as the shop owner. The shopkeeper comes to his store just before opening time, turn on the lights, fix things, and then opens door and wait for customers. When you enter, he greets you, then do their sales, and at the end of the day off the lights and close the door. But the church is not a store with a public opening hours, is the flock of God. Pastors must be diligent watching and taking care of the flock, it is their responsibility. In 1 Peter 5:1-4 we learn that on the shepherds is the Chief Shepherd, Jesus, and they will be accountable for how they care for the flock of God.

LESSONS OF JONAH
Text: Jonah 1 :1-17

This prophetic book was written 800 years BC. He has been ridiculed by the world because they believe that a big fish and swallow a man. They think legend. But the Lord Jesus Christ in His ministry said Jonah in Matthew 16:4, giving it credibility.
The book not only describes the behavior of John, but also to many of us. Christ said: "Id" , but we settled down and we chapels and cathedrals, and tell people "come here and I will post things of Christ." But the Lord told us "ID" . So, we like Jonah, what we think, instead of what he said.
God sent him to Nineveh, but in the exact opposite, to Tarshish, land of southern Spain - Hispalia. He tried to avoid responsibility, but God reached out and corrected it with the trial of the storm, reprimand of sailors Gentiles and the time the big fish. It was a time of correction and humiliation for his disobedience, for God corrects His own as we know from Hebrews 12.
Chapter 2 begins with "then" because it refers to Jonah's reaction to the correction. Before he did not want to approach God, but then, yes. You need many times that God goal in distress situations to correct us. Is the path that God knows us back to obedience. Jonah 2:2 says "I called in my affliction unto the Lord" . God is merciful. Want to approach him, and he knows how.
In Ephesians 2:1-3 we see that we were dead in trespasses and sins, rebellious and disobedient, but God, plenteous in mercy, made us alive (vv. 4-5). It's what he wants. Jonah 2:1-2 we see in the way that God put him and that gets us to bring us back to Him God had not gone in the sense of abandon to Jonah, but he was teaching His servant to go and stay close (see Isaiah 26:16). Wants to take us as His children in the path of obedience, because that is the blessing and glory. We do not like this fix, but it is necessary, for our good.
In Jonah verse 7 says: "When my soul fainted" , and thus describes the end to which he arrived. While we have health, strength, natural energy we tend not to want to ignore it. "I remembered the Lord" Jonah said was in great distress, but not before. We often have to pass this way to learn. We must do what God has said. And at 2:10, after the anguish and prayer, God answered. He finished his time of trouble the Prophet. And here and in Chapter 3 Jonah is restored. God had not abandoned but it was teaching. Hebrews 12:10 says that the purpose of correction is to be partakers of His holiness.
3:2 In God again commanded to do what he had said at first. The will of God had not changed simply because Jonah had left it. He now had to replay the same instruction, with an opportunity to express his regret for his obedience. This is the divine instruction, insisting until we learn the lesson. In verse 3, this time complied, complied with the commission. Then God's teaching was effective, because Jonah learned obedience. We must ask whether it is well with us.
Nineveh's reaction was: "believed God" (v. 5), and the king (vv. 6-9) claimed that they turned from their evil way (v. 10). This is repentance. God saw their repentance, because when one repents, this is the attitude and deeds. The result was that they were punished. Then God said to Israel through the prophet Ezekiel: "I live, saith the Lord, I do not want the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways, why will ye die, O house of Israel? " (Ezekiel 33:11). But they ignored her, and perished. Sometimes this happens the world to hear the Word of God are more impacted than those who profess to be His people, who always hear the word but does not act on it.
God does not want the man's death. It is something that the man chose to Eden. It was not part of the plan or the will of God in the beginning, but man chose. Romans 5 tells us that upon entering the world of sin, death came. He had to walk in the way of life that marked the Creator, but did not. Chose in his freedom, and being seduced and deceived, the path of death instead of the way of life and communion. Took this decision and was free path death. Proverbs 14:12 remarked well that there is a way which seems right, but its end is death. How many decisions have been made by his will, defiance of what God had set, and ended up losing?
why I said at first that Jonah illustrates much the human condition. Again we see here in chapter 4. Was grieved to see God's mercy with those of Nineveh. I felt bad that God would forgive him, because he wanted the destruction of them. Then God again begins to teach and correct Jonah. Use the vine (vv. 6-8) to teach again. Jonah, like us, rejoiced in the blessing of it, but again was saddened greatly when God removed.
He was angry, was angry and even depressed, but all his own fault . God taught him a lesson, and also wants to teach us, because why we have this book.
God have pity on those who are perishing, but we just lost our blessings. "Did not I spare ...?" says the Lord. God is, and wants us, His people and His servants, we are also well. "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15). Is the message that touches us still. What have we pity? What our gourd, or the souls of our Nineveh to which we sent to preach the gospel? Who we pity?
